What's Your Clinical Style?

Optometry Co-Founder

How would you better care for yourself?

You already provide care for so many. Now it's time to care for your own well-being too.

My Considerations

You choose to be an OD in part to have a meaningful and stable life. You want something that ensures your quality of life while also being able to help others. You poured your heart into your work by working as an associate for another OD and may have even taken time off to start a family. The question now is, what's the next step in your career?

You depend on a stable income, want flexibility to care for your family, and you want the 'clinical freedom' to care for patients the way you want to.

You are considering having your own practice so that you can have clinical freedom, flexible work schedules, and the ability to build your own asset.

My Choices

It takes about 3 to 5 years for a brand new practice to breakeven. During those years, it will be a labour of love with unstable pay, which is the tradeoff required in order to have clinical freedom.

You may be promised an opportunity to be a partner in your existing practice, but like clingy parents, incumbent owners usually find it hard to let go.

Joining Nuvé Partners as an Optometry Co-Founder puts you as the owner and the clinical lead of an already successful practice. You will have your own established patient base, operational team, and a very respectable income. You will have the clinical freedom to make the practice undeniably yours.

My Life

You will provide quality care for patients and also determine how to best manage the practice. As a Co-Founder you are supported by a veteran business management team that will actively manage human resources, marketing, finance, accounting and legal issues.

My Happiness

Co-Founders should expect a starting annual income of $70,000 to $150,000 growing to $250,000+ depending on practice size. As a Co-Founder, you will also receive shareholder dividends on top of your annual income. You have the option to fully own the business whenever you feel ready to do so.

When the time is right after hitting all of your financial goals, you can choose to have your trained associates succeed your legacy. Your exit strategy is yours to decide.
